A group of students in Year 2 from the International School of Toulouse, along with a partner French School, visited Beauville last May. The children worked on producing the show “Babaka et La Cruche Sacrée”.
This ‘conte musical’ by Maryanick Pigne describes the journey of a young girl Babaka who travels around the world from her home in Africa across four continents. Babaka has broken the sacred jug of her village, which has stopped the village well from providing water. On her journey she meets various local children as she attempts to gather a selection of magical items to bring back to her village and fix the jug.
The show was performed at the IST on Tuesday 26th June. It was an amazing achievement – well done to the pupils and staff! Beauville Arts was delighted to part of this collaboration.
