Practical information for Cubertou


Cubertou is an arts haven tucked away in the glorious countryside of the Lot valley.  A former farm with heaps of history and character the buildings have retained their rustic charm  making Cubertou a highly relaxing location where it’s easy to forget that the outside world exists. Surrounded by meadows and woods, butterflies and birds abound and the night skies provide exceptional opportunities for star-gazing.

Single and twin room prices include accommodation in the main house or long barn with towels and bedding provided.  The majority of rooms have their own basin though bathroom facilties are shared.

Campers will sleep in shared tents with individual bedrooms. Pillows and mattresses will be provided but you should bring your own towel and sleeping bag. Campers can bring their own tent if they prefer.


All meals are provided including a three course gourmet meal with wine each evening. Morning coffee and afternoon tea is also provided. Prices do not include alcoholic beverages outside of meal times.

Vegetarians /food allergies will be catered for, however please let us know in advance.

Participants should ensure that their instruments are fully insured and should bring their own music stands.


Cubertou is located on the south side of the D673 just after turnings to the highly signposted Chateau de Bonaguil and village of St Martin-le-Redon (postcode 46700), when travelling eastwards from Fumel/Condat.

Arrival and transport information

You should arrive by the evening of Saturday 24th August.  Departure is on the morning of Saturday 31st August.

Transfers can be requested from Bergerac airport, or Agen station (both just under an hour away) however must be arranged in advance. Transfers cost £35 or €45 return.

Agen has a major SNCF train station with direct trains from most major French cities including Paris (4hrs), Toulouse (1hr) and Bordeaux (1.5 hrs).   Train tickets are only available 3 months ahead of travel.   Please advise if you are intending to travel by train and we will seek to advise on the best arrival time in Agen.

Toulouse and Bordeaux Airports have shuttle bus services to their respective city centre stations with regular direct trains to Agen.

Should you be unable to make one of the transfers, a half hour train journey from Agen to Monsempron-Libos will bring you to within 10 minutes of Cubertou from where pick up is free of charge.

Agen has a major SNCF train station with direct trains from most major French cities including Paris (4hrs), Toulouse (1hr) and Bordeaux (1.5 hrs).

If travelling by train from the UK please allow yourselves 1.5 hrs to cross Paris.    Metro Line 4 joins Gare du Nord to Paris Montparnasse.  The journey itself takes only 20 minutes however there is a long walk at the Montparnasse end and remember there is a  30 minute check-in for the Eurostar back to London.
